I’ve wanted to try a smoothie for a long time; they always look so delicious and healthy. Since they are more or less a meal replacement, I was worrying that the smoothie wouldn’t fill my belly as a normal meal, especially because you’re drinking and not eating it. I’m sure most of that was just my mind playing some trick on me because I got hungry more or less as usual, maybe only slightly earlier. If I think of the smoothie as a snack or small meal, I really like the raspberry – chocolate – protein smoothie…
|1 serving||Prep time: 5 min|
|Cook time: –|
|Course category: Snack, Breakfast|
- 50g raspberries (frozen)
- 1 (small) apple (e.g. Granny Smith)
- 50g spinach (frozen / defrosted)
- 150 – 200ml chocolate protein drink (e.g. Valio ProFeel)
- 10 almonds
- Cinnamon or cocoa (to garnish)
(The nutritional info is based on 200ml protein drink (Valio ProFeel) and cinnamon to garnish)
Chop the apple and the almonds roughly.
Add all ingredients (except from the cinnamon or cocoa) to a blender.
Pour the smoothie into a glass and garnish with cinnamon or cocoa.
Enjoy your smoothie.
The smoothie tastes pretty much like raspberry and chocolate – which is why I gave it this name. I hoped to taste the apple and the spinach more though, so I guess next time I’ll just use a bit less raspberries…
